During the first week of January, Shy Glizzy (now known as Jefe) released a new mixtape titled “The World Is Yours.” The 8-track Jefe The World Is Yours mixtape finds the rapper in the company of a naked woman (“Take It Off“), wanting someone to love him (“Love Me” featuring Ralo), and the importance of congratulating people–because you are an authentic individual (“Congratulations“).
In a recent interview with The FADER, Jefe explained the reason for changing his name. “I’m just rebranding myself,” he said. “Reinventing on a whole higher level. I earned the title Jefe. It comes with maturity, more responsibility, and putting more people in the position of being a boss in every aspect. With a name like that, you don’t have a choice.”
