On New Years Eve frontman Maynard James Keenan teased fans to get ready for A Perfect Circle’s upcoming new single. While he originally said the song would be released today, they ended up releasing their song on New Years Day. This new A Perfect Circle Disillusioned record is a heavy song with muted and somber tones. The new Disillusioned song follows up their The Doomed single which they dropped last year back in October. Both songs will appear on A Perfect Circle’s upcoming album which is expected to drop sometime later this year. It’s the first taste of new music we’ve received from the legendary rockers since way back in 2013. Not to mention the fact that we haven’t received a full length album from A Perfect Circle since 2004.
As you can tell from the title of the song, Disillusioned isn’t an upbeat or cheerful record. In their new song the band decided to tackle the hot topics regarding the state of our society.
