Our review of the One Direction New Album “Made In The AM”
One Direction, the biggest boy band on earth right now, is taking a break from their massively successful 5 year career and they’re making it worth it by releasing their highly anticipated 5th album, “Made in the A.M”. The boys had to get through the crisis of the departure of a really important band member, Zayn Malik, as they continued to work as a four piece. This is their first album with out an appearance from Zayn Malik and it’s just as good if not better then their previous albums. Check out the full review of the One Direction new album below!
Their album was charted as no.1 in United Kingdom, which is where they’re from. The songs are really great and worth listening to.
Here is a quick review of all of them.
- Hey Angel:
This song is really catchy and makes a perfect choice for a great album opener. The upbeat sound and the airy anthem feels make it somewhat sound like the Robbie William’s ‘Millennium’, and is so good to listen to in the car. This song is my personal favorite off the whole album.

- Drag me down:
This song is the first single off the album. It literally forces you to sing along with every verse, except for Harry Styles’ high notes. It’s a gritty song and you can hear it whenever you feel down or have doubts about yourself. It is kind of like a reminder that nobody can drag you down.

- Perfect:
It is an uplifting classical pop love song that has great lyrics to sing with. This song makes the album really diverse and cheeky. Perfect is my second favorite song from their album. You can hear this song anywhere with your headphones on and can actually pretend like you’re in the music video.

- Infinity:
This is a slow song and a heartbreak ballad with a mixture of swooning choruses and a nice dreamy build. Listen to it when you miss somebody and just walk in the middle of your room with all of the lights off. You’ll surely love this song then if you don’t already.

- End of the Day:
This song is like a showcase for the boys’ best vocals and Louis’s high notes make it worth listening too. However, the song sounds quite confusing as the chorus and the whole song do not really match, but it is still one of the best songs and deserves to be a single.

- If I could Fly:
It’s such a soft, sweet and iconic song that makes you tear up a little bit while listening to it. It’s a slower one and sounds a bit like “Angels” by Robbie Williams as it’s filled with the same longing and melancholy. You can listen to it all winter.

- Long Way Down:
Vocally, it’s a great song with a nice beat, but I’m not sure if I really like it. This is a kind of song you can hear if you’re on a long drive and feeling sleepy.

- Never Enough:
This song is a happy, dance song that gives you all Jungle Book vibes. It is a morning breakfast song and is really different from all the other records, which obviously sums up the diversity of the album.

- Olivia:Olivia is a toe tapping song that reminded me of The Beatles. It is a really jolly and cheerful song to listen to during the holidays. Put it on whenever you are relaxed or content with your life.

- What A Feeling:
This is a chill song with strong Fleetwood Mac feels. I definitely love this song and recommend you listen to it on the beach.

- Love You Goodbye
Love you Goodbye is another breakup song, which is very beautiful and nostalgic. You will surely miss your ex while listening to this record.

- I Want to Write You A Song
This song is Liam’s favorite and gives those “Hey There Delilah” vibes. The lyrics are touching, the vocals are great and the music is just awesome. You can listen to it when you’re rehashing old memories.

- History
History is a song dedicated to their fans as a thank you for their devotion and support for the past 5 years. It’s kind of like a campfire song, which revives all the moments that you have spent together with a good friend. It’s a cherished song and one of my favorites as well as being their next single.

- Temporary Fix
This super upbeat record is a “one night stand” record that makes you dance and feel really good. You can’t just skip this song, it’s well worth listening to.

- Walking in the Wind
Walking in the wind is a more mature song that gives you a very nice feeling with its catchy chorus. It’s definitely different from all their other 1D songs.

- Wolves
This song has an old touch to it. It’s about a man, whose girl is surrounded by other guys or “wolves” and he’s telling them to back off. It’s more of a funky and fun song.

- A.M.
This is a feel-good song and the album title is based on this record’s lyrics. It is a slow jam song, but not one you’ll want to swoon over.
