New Blake Shelton exhibit set to open in Country Music Hall of Fame
Blake Shelton is the latest contemporary country music artist to earn an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story will open at the Music City museum on May 27. It will explore the life and work of one of country musics most popular and multi-dimensional artists, according to a press release.
Blake Shelton is one of the most well-established contemporary artists in country music, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young says in a press release. Countless accolades into his musical career, he continues to stay true to his sound and musical style and continues to receive recognition for it.
Sheltons exhibit will include on-stage outfits, instruments, song manuscripts, pictures and other personal items. Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story will examine the stars road to success, from his childhood to his move to Nashville as a teen, and from his multi-platinum recording breakthrough to becoming a national celebrity on NBCs The Voice.
I came to Nashville in 1994, and Ive always been fascinated by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. I remember the first time I walked in there, I was blown away, Shelton muses. To have my own exhibit is more than a dream come true, because I never dreamed it could happen! Its crazy is what it is. I couldnt be more excited or more honored than to be a part of the museum.
Shelton, who is back on the judges panel for Season 10 of The Voice, is also out currently out on the road. He is readying a new album, with its first single being released on March 8. On March 12, Shelton hosted the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. In June, hes scheduled to play at Country Jam 2016.
