Country songstress Cam came bursting onto the scene in 2015 and released her highly acclaimed debut album, Untamed. Her album quickly became a fan favorite and was easily one of the best country albums of that year. Now the powerhouse singer is back with a hard charging new single titled Diane. The new Cam Diane single is a response to Dolly Parton’s classic hit record Jolene, which was about a cheating man. The singer confesses about an affair to an unsuspecting wife once she realizes a guy she’s been seeing is married.
In a recent interview, Cam stated the song is a response and apology to the wife from the unwitting other woman. Cam also performed the record live at the 91st annual Macy’s Thanksgiving parade this year. Hopefully this new single is a sign that Cam is getting ready to release more new music, and possibly a new album soon.
