The Dekmantel Festival has revealed their 2016 line up!
The first names have been announced for this year’s Dekmantel Festival, taking place in Amsterdam from August 4-7. The line up encompasses everything from techno heavy-hitters to local crate-diggers, with Ricardo Villalobos, Jeff Mills and James Holden among the biggest names.
Berghain residents Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock and Kobosil appear alongside Dixon, Tale of Us and Detroit favorites Robert Hood, Theo Parrish, Moodymann, DJ Bone, Daniel Bell and Marcellus Pittman.
Fatima Yamaha, Lena Willikens, Pev & Kowton, Donato Dozzy, Joey Anderson, The Black Madonna, Blawan, Midland, Palms Trax, Optimo, Jackmaster, Objekt, Call Super, Pender Steet Steppers and Jane Fitz are some of the festival’s other DJ highlights.
Labels including Sex Tags, Rush Hour and Viewlexx will also perform showcases featuring DJ Sotofett, Soichi Terada and Legowelt.
The festival will also host a number of intriguing back-to-back sets, with Helena Hauff teaming up with DJ Stingray, Roman Flügel playing alongside Daniel Avery, Tama Sumo going B2B with Lakuti, Regis paired with Veronica Vasicka and Joy Orbison playing with Ben UFO.
Several live acts will also make up the bill: Tony Allen, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry & Adrian Sherwood, ESG, Holly Herndon, DBX, Surgeon, Ben Frost, Aux 88, Mike Parker and the Rebuild project of 808 State’s Graeme Massey & A Guy Called Gerald will all break up the DJing with live sets.
Dekmantel will also highlight Amsterdam’s DJ talent: Tom Trago, San Proper, Young Marco and Awanto 3 make up just some of the locally-sourced artists appearing at this year’s festival.
The festival takes place in Amsterdamse Bos and at various locations across the city, split into a day and night programme. You can check the full line-up so far below, and find full details and tickets at the Dekmantel Festival website.
The Amsterdam event is one of two festival from Dekmantel this year: the organisers are launching an intimate Croatian festival this September called Dekmantel Selectors.
