More then a million demonstrators convened at the National Mall in Washington DC, in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March on Saturday, October 10th.  Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam, organized both the original 1995 Million Man March and this years Justice Or Elses gathering.

At this years Million Man March event, Hip Hop artists were among the thousands of people in attendance to show their support. Some of those artists in attendance included Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Common, J. Cole, Jeezy, Jay Electronica and Ty Dolla Sign. Many other rap artists, such as Afrika Bambaataa of the Zulu Nation, also attended this years march. Minister Farrakhan had called for many Hip Hop artists to show up to this year’s march. Farrakhan also asked many of them to give a speech.

Many of the activists and demonstrators attending the 20th Anniversary of the march, chanted the chorus used in Kendrick Lamar‘s hit record Alright while they marched at the event.
