Next month Warner Bros. Pictures will be premiering their latest installment in the exciting Oceans film series. While the first set of Oceans movies featured a male team of thieves, Oceans 8 features an all female team. Gary Ross directed the upcoming comedy in addition to co-writing the screenplay with Olivia Milch. The Oceans 8 all female cast includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson and a few other familiar faces. It’s hard to believe this hilarious spinoff comes seventeen years after the 2001 release of the original Oceans 11 film! While it’s been a few years since the last Oceans movie, fans of the series are super excited about this new movie.
Sandra Bullock takes on the leading role of Debbie Ocean, estranged sister of George Clooney’s character Danny Ocean. Debbie is also a criminal mastermind just like her brother and she’s ready to take on her latest mission. She recruits the assistance of 7 other professional female thieves to pull off what’s sure to be an impossible heist. Debbie’s got her eyes set on a necklace worth millions that she plans to take at New York’s annual Met Gala. So you’ll have to go see the movie to find out if the ladies successfully pull off the heist of the century!
