The highly anticipated sequel to the 2013 hit film Pacific Rim is getting ready to hit theaters springtime next year. In the new Pacific Rim Uprising movie, the fight between monsters of mass destruction and the human-piloted super-machines continues. And this time around an even more ominous and unstoppable threat is tearing through cities all around the world. During the battle, a rebellious Jake Pentecost will get the chance to live up to his father’s legacy. But this also means that he’ll have to work alongside his estranged sister. Along the way, new alliances will form while they seek justice for those who have fallen and rise against the forces of extinction.
The new Pacific Rim Uprising movie was filmed by the director Steven S. DeKnight. Actors John Boyega, Jing Tian, Scott Eastwood, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona and Charlie Day will also star in the movie.
