Complete review of the Taylor Swift 1989 album
The Taylor Swift 1989 album is probably her most popular one and has sold the most records. The album is mostly about her ex-lovers, but that’s okay because all of the songs still sound great. Here is our review of her whole 1989 album.
Welcome To New York:
Taylor Swift started off her new album in a chipper way with “Welcome to New York”, which is kind of like a conflict free song with NYC greetings. It’s a catchy song, but the lyrics are not that great. It feels like a lab engineered NY anthem that will last for a long time because of all of the TV shows and NY based sports events.. Take a listen to the song below!

Blank Space:
This song is Taylor’s electropop smash and one of our favorites. Of course this song’s all about her ex-lovers and all the other people that criticize her for writing about them in her music. The lyrics are super catchy and her cheerful vocals have made this song worth listening to over and over again. It was No.1 on the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for a long time and is one of the more prominent songs of the album. The video of the song is also quite nice to watch.

Style:
This song is about her most popular ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles and is probably one of the best songs off her album. It’s kind of one of those records that will force you out of seat and get you dancing. It was one of her most successful singles from the 1989 album and the video was simply amazing with Tay Tay looking as beautiful as ever!

Out Of The Woods:
This song is produced by Jack Antonoff and is more of an electronic jam mixed in with the typical Taylor style. It has a catchy chorus and somewhat feels like a closing sequence of an action movie. It’s official video was recently released and gives a really inspirational message. Out Of The Woods has furious lyrics in the chorus and the rest of the song is filled with breathless urgency which blends together perfectly.

All You Had To Do Was Stay:
This song is a more average one and strays away from Taylor’s usual style that we’ve come to love. The song’s about a girl longing for her ex-lover and kinda gets lost in the mix with the rest of her amazing songs on the album.

Shake It Off:
This song is about Taylor accepting her true self and bashing all of her haters. Some people have reviewed it as the worst song of the album, but we actually like it and think it was another one of her biggest hits off her 1989 album. It’s a super upbeat and dancy song full of cheer and the video is also great.

I Wish You Would:
It’s a breakup song with the typical Taylor Swift fashion. You could say it’s Red 2.0 and still very catchy.

Bad Blood:
The video was highly appraised by the fans which made it break the Vevo 24 hour viewing record in its very first day of release. There’s been a lot of back & fourth speculation on whether or not the Bad Blood record was directed towards Katy Perry considering the two don’t particularity get along. But that didn’t stop any of us from enjoying the song and it’s music video.

Wildest Dreams:
This song doesn’t give us typical Taylor Swift sound we’ve come accustomed to, it actually gives off more of a Lana Del Ray vibe. But that doesn’t mean we don’t love hearing this song come from Taylor. The vocals are fantastic and she’s made this song a more dreamy and alluring one, which definitely worked out great! You go Tay Tay!

How You Get the Girl:
This is a record that will get stuck in your head forever, even if you only listened to it one time. This song is about girls believing and being attracted to a guys honesty. All you have to do is to be honest and boom! She’s yours forever!

This Love:
Surprisingly, this is the only slow jam song on Taylor’s album. This is the kinda song where you put it on, roll the windows down and listen to it peacefully as you go for a long drive. It’s a great song to vibe out to and relax with as you enjoy the soft sounds.

I Know Places:
The sexy and angry side we saw from Taylor in her Blank Space record is back! This song is loved by mostly everybody. It sends a powerful message of empowerment and strength. And who doesn’t like that kind of encouragement?

Clean:
Clean is the last song on the album and offers some great vocals from Taylor. This song is great and has guest vocals from the Imogen “Hide and Seek” Heap. Definitely a great way to end the album!
