The Obasanjo My Watch Book To Be Adapted Into A Movie
The controversial expository book by a two-time past president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo titled , My Watch is set to be adapted into a movie.
Talks on the upcoming project were concluded two days ago on August 16, 2016, at a meeting between the ex-general, top Nollywood actor Enyinna Nwigwe, (popular for playing a gay role in the movie Hell or Highwater) as well as Hollywood actress and producer Vanessa Martini (Black November, Road to Redemption) and American based Nigerian filmmaker, Jeta Amata.
A contractual agreement was signed and concluded at the end of the meeting.
The controversial autobiography was banned from being sold in Nigeria for a while due to its expository content but this didn’t deter the former president from launching the book in 2014.
The former president also went ahead to launch My Watch in Kenya and London.
Now OBJ has given his consent for the book to be developed into a movie.
My Watch was openly endorsed by the President of Nigeria, Muhammudu Buhari during his campaign as APC’s presidential candidate.
My watch is a 3 volume book and we can’t wait to see how the movie will translate it!
